The Japanese Garden is a municipal park on the Avenue Princess Grace, in the Larvotto ward of Monaco. It is next to the Grimaldi Forum convention center. The garden is 7 hectares in size, and features a stylized mountain, hill, waterfall, beach, brook, and a Zen garden for meditation. It is open daily from 9am to sunset.

The garden was designed by Yasuo Beppu, the winner of the Flower Exhibition of Osaka 1990, as a miniature representation of Shintoist philosophy.

Among all the glitz and glam of Monaco is this little beauty hidden away. If you’re a fan of F1 and walking the circuit, this garden is on the left as the turn to head towards the tunnel.

The garden isn’t too big, but it is very picturesque. A side of feudal japan sitting among the concrete jungle. Plenty of chances to take lovely photos and the scenery, and a nice waterfall feature.

Don’t forget to see the Koi fish pool, not often will you see such a large group of these together!
